Through My Looking Glass- A Modern Mom and Domestic Goddess In Training

  I'm in the car right now with my husband and youngest daughter Eden. We are driving back home with Miranda Lambert playing on the radio. It has almost been a week now since we left Ohio for Vermont. It was beautiful, but we arrived past their "peak" season so the trees weren't as bright and colorful as they would have been a couple weeks ago.                     The weather was chilly 40s to 50s and dropped down to the 30s at night. We walked up and down Church Street as usual. Passing many different restaurants, shops and musicians playing outside.       While Dave was at work during the day, Eden and I walked down to Lake Champlain, went to a hair salon, shopped and just enjoyed the day. At five o'clock we would meet up with Dave for dinner on Church Street.             Dave and I never meet a stranger, at almost every restaurant we got to meet some locals. Well, it has been awhile since I have written. It has been a hard couple of months, with all of April pretty much being bedridden with health issues. Luckily, I am seeing a new doctor now and hope to be on the mend and back to my normal life soon. I definitely was being over medicated and it was making me lethargic,  being constantly lightheaded,  feeling of fainting, among many many other things. This went on for almost a month after going to the ER. I couldn't even operate a vehicle. I came in with some symptoms, and the medications just caused NEW problems to the extreme. It was scary. Almost makes me want to go holistic. Sometimes meds mixed with other meds is just a disaster waiting to happen. Course, everyone reacts to medications differently. But, I trust that my NEW doctor has a new and better approach. Since I've been bedridden for several weeks, it will definitely take some time to get my muscle strength back.       Last night, my husband and I put up our Christmas tree and some decorations. We always enjoy decorating for the holidays together. Each year our holiday collection grows. This year, we bought a train that is placed in the tree and goes around and around. Eden loves it! She kept pointing and saying, "Train! Train!" So cute. Dave and our Christmas tree! The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.. Daddy and Eden watching the train the train! We LOVE the holiday season!! Especially all of the family time together. It is very special. We got our purple Christmas tree at Bronners in Michigan back in 2009. We drove there and stayed overnight in a hotel. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to going up there again sometime!
